Is there any way to purchase or get the "The Bass Trumpet and Tenor Tuba in Orchestral and Operatic Literature" by Dr. Brian Bowman? Any suggestion would be much apreciated.

Thank you very much!

I haven't gone through the required online registration process to see whether the document is actually accessible, but have you tried http://www.ebookpdf-free.com/book/the-b ... tMQAACAAJ/?

You might want to try contacting Dr. Bowman directly to ask him about it.

This title was Dr. Bowman's doctoral dissertation from 1975 at Catholic University (in Washington DC). It's not really a "book" per se, so it would be hard to otherwise find a copy of it.

I just did a search through my university library (since I'm a graduate student), and was unable to find very much about it. My next step would be to request help from the librarians and see where that goes. I do see that there is a copy is available at the library at the University of Southern Mississippi, but I'm not sure 1) my school's librarians can get it loaned up here to Minnesota, and 2) if that would be any help at all to you in Peru.

Your best bet might be to send him an email, and see what he recommends.

I've got a copy. It's only his writing, and not the musical examples to which he refers. Let me know who wants it and I'll either try to drop it in PM (but it's 11.6Mb), or send a link to Dropbox or some such.

You should probably contact the institution where the dissertation originated. An archivist there should have the equipment to properly digitize a copy of it.

Does anyone have the excerpt portion, or does everyone only have the research portion?

I got this from Dr. B. himself, and he no longer had the excerpt portion.
