the mouthpiece looks like one of those old King mouthpieces... 26, 24?... I don't remember the exact number, very similar to the Bach 24 AW, a sousaphone mouthpiece for marching. fat rim with a big bowl....

The camera angle through the opening of this song shows an empty chair next to the leftmost trombone player. On a stand there is an instrument looking like a single valve bass trombone. Did Richard Maloof also play that instrument?
