yup...I knew you would do those things, but many others just assume that a picture is "it" (i.e. "what the final product will be").

Isn't this a discussion board? Aren't we to discuss?

There have been multiple instances of such discussions being revised or otherwise deleted when someone brought to light something that's been copied or otherwise alluded to.

Both sides are aware of the issue. It's up to them to work it out. I haven't stopped anyone else from discussing it, I just want them to talk privately

Personally, I think this (general concept) is one of Johnathan's better ideas..."BAT's for Englishmen"

Why?

If we can't discuss simple designs and TUBAS, why bother having TubeNet?

It would not be because of the discussion. It would be because of what appears to be a serious disagreement between two persons that probably is not a proper point of discussion here on TubeNet.

I am hoping they work everything out on their own and I do not have to lock this thread

Just in case this is the "issue", this post (the part that I typed) was not meant to be sarcasm.
"BAT's for Englishmen"...seriously...and a good idea.

Realize, please: I own/use a comp Eb regularly, and am fixing up for myself the uber-nerdiest comp Bb - the recording bell version.

BAT's: Wildly popular amount tuba players, and almost all tuba players wish they had one.

As long as you are making the 4th valve a rotor, I would love if someone made to operate with the right or left hand. I like the Besson 983 but often when playing low passages I reach across with my left hand to operate the 4th valve.

You were not involved at all. Two other parties were having a disagreement. I think that bit has been excised and they were encouraged to discuss the issue elsewhere, in private.

Could we get a couple of pictures of the 4th valve assembly?

Later! The 4th valve is behind 2nd valve slide and removing that slide enables easy access to the rotor from both sides. Lever is on 1st valve slide giving short linkage and easy reach.

We hope to have production prototype ready March
