Perfectly useless, at least for me.
I use Conn bits for my Conn sousaphones.

[Sigh] Don't you all know that a snaffle bit will do more for riding the slides and a curb bit will put more control and "horsepower" in your tone?

I always loved the sousaphone bit in You The Living (2007)...
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
