Come to Northwestern University's Pick-Staiger Concert Hall, 50 Arts Circle Drive in Evanston, Chicago (Entrance is from a back door near Regenstein Hall) at 3pm this Saturday, April 21 when Gene Pokorny (Chicago Symphony), Matt Gaunt (Milwaukee Symphony), Andy Smith (Lyric Opera and Grant Park Symphony), Charlie Vernon (Chicago Symphony Bass trombone) and Mark Fisher (Assistant Principal Trombonist with the Lyric Opera) play test the new Wessex tubas, euphoniums, and trombones. The CSO York will be there for comparison, as will other instruments.
Guests will then be invited to try the instruments for themselves.
There is no admission fee and, of course, no purchase is necessary.

Feedback was very positive from all that attended with the TC694 Chicago-Presence (18” bell 6/4 CC) and TE693 Prokofiev prototype (handmade 6/4 BBb) seeming to be the greatest hits.
A follow up private session in orchestral hall is planned for later in the year.
