This would make a great budget horn for a high schooler or college student. Kind of wish I had this cheap of an option when I first started college.
Dvorak probably wrote the the fourteen notes in New World Symphony to get his tuba friends a gig.

Huh?! Look at the patina. Probably original. Not all Miraphone tubas, especially early ones, had a krantz.

The owner states in the ad, not sure you read it but it was a replacement bell. Upon email, the owner states it was a Chinese replacement. Maybe Dan can verify this or not.

$$$$$$$

Sometimes even the best tech can't salvage a busted up Mirabell that spent twenty years in a junior high. You wouldn't be paying $1650 for a 186 with a new Mirabell on it.

Sure when cost is a factor, but keeping the horn close to original is a big factor for some buyers, especially when you put a non hand hammered bell onto something that is hand made. Would love to hear the story from Dan on this one.

Do you think the Chinese bell is still high quality? The clones coming out of China have been good as of late.
