Huh?! Look at the patina. Probably original. Not all Miraphone tubas, especially early ones, had a krantz.
The owner states in the ad, not sure you read it but it was a replacement bell. Upon email, the owner states it was a Chinese replacement. Maybe Dan can verify this or not.

Sometimes even the best tech can't salvage a busted up Mirabell that spent twenty years in a junior high. You wouldn't be paying $1650 for a 186 with a new Mirabell on it.

Sure when cost is a factor, but keeping the horn close to original is a big factor for some buyers, especially when you put a non hand hammered bell onto something that is hand made. Would love to hear the story from Dan on this one.
