Switching rotors?
Lets take a PT-6 for example. Can you take out the rotors, and install new rotors (Miraphones)? What complications would arise?
I would put a good signature here, but i dont have one, so this will make do.

Also, the shape of Miraphone rotors have changed over the years.

Re: Switching rotors?
I assumed he meant replacing the entire assembly... I would think that would be an interesting change in feel, but maybe pretty good???

Re: Switching rotors?
If I were intent upon replacing an entire rotor assembly for the purpose of an upgrade I would purchase the carbon fiber meinlschmidt valves.

My understanding is that their carbon fiber valves are about 3x the cost of the normal valves.joh_tuba wrote:If I were intent upon replacing an entire rotor assembly for the purpose of an upgrade I would purchase the carbon fiber meinlschmidt valves.
That'd better be a heck of a tuba to make this kind of upgrade, instead of just buying a new tuba.
