NYC CL: Carl Wunderlich Tuba

Post by Fergie »

Anyone know anything about this tuba or whether it’s worth it?

Dvorak probably wrote the the fourteen notes in New World Symphony to get his tuba friends a gig.

I think I can say, without knowing anything about the tuba, that it's worth $500 to someone. The leadpipe is hardly dinged, there's no reason to think the valves don't work reasonably well, and the case is probably worth close to that.

(Spelling error fixed.) Sounds like someone's heard the word on what happens to tubas in the mail.
