Robert Jager Concerto

Post by phoenix »

How does this piece of music compare to other pieces such as the Vaughan Williams, the Gregson, or the Hindemith? It's only $10 on sheet music plus, and i was just wondering if it was worth it. Thanks!

There are many Jager Concertos. Which one are you looking at? You should be safe in any case becuase Jager's music is well known & generally of very good quality. His Concerto for Percussion & Band has some interesting sounds.

Hey Brett,

It's worth buying, especially for $10....it was written for Dan Perantoni, and I believe he recorded it some time ago. I also believe it's very accessible as a CC piece.

Good luck up at Eastman....we'll miss having you down at Temple. Congrats!
