Correct notes should be loaded one at a time through the mouthpiece. That is why so many professional level horns are large bore, in order to facilitate this process.
You should watch out for inferior mainland Chinese right notes which are flooding the market, currently. Remember that not only did Mrs. Mao forbid the tuba, but many of the available Chinese instruments use a pentatonic scale. Look what happened to Besson, for example...

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

I'll have to look up in the attic for what must be a huge crate of right notes as I've been using a great many of my wrong ones in their place.
Would you be interested in a few chipped notes? I may have a few of those left, though not many. I've been using up a lot of those on my quintet gigs.
After a look in my case I found a few that might be of interest:
4 Chipped notes, usual wear $45 each
14 Half notes - I haven't needed these since the last time I played Dvorak #9
12 Mis-pitched notes - $35 (though some may be higher and some slight lower)
4 rushed quarter notes - Well used for Berlioz's Hungarian March $15 each
I'll check the basement for those Respigi and Prokofiev notes I think I might still have.

The problem I seem to have is finding the right note at the right time! I usually get the wrong note at the right time, or the right note at the wrong time! Rarely get the right note at the right time! So, no, I don't have any right notes to spare, sorry!

Here's what to do:
I will sell you a paper bag for $100.
Inhale through the bag, sucking all the air out. This is good-note-air.
Then proceed to blow through the tuba using the air inhaled from the bag.
I can provide additional bags at a bulk discount if desired.

What do you have against CLAMS?the elephant wrote:I need to buy a bag of right notes. My supply is nearly exhausted and I only have wrong notes in reserve. (And after the last time I filled up my horn with wrong notes went over so poorly at work . . . uf, da!)
Anyone here have an XXL bag of right notes? I might even spring for an institutional sized box (XXXL or larger) if the quality is good. (No cracks or chips. And only 100% NOTES . . . NO CLAMS!)
Oh, and can anyone recommend a better method of loading right notes into my horns? Pouring them into the bell is messy and wasteful . . .

Right whale notes can be had on youtube for the donwloading:

You get what you pay for, however, and there's no guarantee that these are actually Right Whale notes.

I have some...I've been trying to use them, but a lot of them have come out a little blatty and cracked.
Price is as follows:
$100 for Right notes
$200 for Left notes
Reason why Left notes are more expensive, is since they are left notes, and I'm right handed. Most horns are also for the right handed, and that will also make the notes more expensive.
The notes come in a bottle, which will look like Coka-Cola or Pepsi-Cola, because of their color. Also labled like that, only with the Right Notes or Left Notes on the bottle.

I have an extra large bag of right notes. Unfortunately, like a box of candy where you cherry pick your favorite ones I have used up all of the highly desirable ffff & fff Loud right notes.
So I only I have left the much less desirable soft notes which you are welcome to. However, we all know that all great tuba players only use loud notes and will even use a loud wrong note over a right soft note.
Good luck with your search as we all know how rare right loud notes are!

I have all the right notes you need, but they are pricey. I must charge $200 per note plus shipping. I have an unlimited supply, but alas, I only have p-ffff in stock. Please add $50 for f and above per note...

Re: WTB: New Supply of Right Notes
Would you like some correct key signatures to go with your correct notes? I am not using mine right now and would be willing to donate a few for a good cause.

Re: WTB: New Supply of Right Notes
Right notes seem to be hard to find. Ever consider using left notes instead?
