Congrats to Deanna Swoboda

Post by Chuck Jackson »

For those of you in attendance this is old news, for those of you in the Southwest who missed it, you missed a great Conference.

Deanna Swoboda hosted the Southwest Regional Tuba Euphonium Conference last week in Las Vegas. It was expertly run with a full docket of incredible soloists and presentations. Everyday was packed with great recitals and it was set as such that there was little overlap among these events. Having been to a number of these events over the years, I must say this was one of the best run conferences I have attended. Deanna's attention to detail and general good natured personality kept things running like clockwork. I am sure that when she gets to Michigan and she hosts another regional conference it will great, too. With her departure from the Valley we will be losing a great player and person.

Good Luck in all your endeavors.

That would be nice! :D
It would indeed. Hey, it'd be a good idea, too, as we're by WWBW and Custom Music, so those of you who are always looking for an excuse to get up here and check out tubas could use the conference as your chance to finally "make a weekend out of it."
