Re: Elephant Christmas 2018: Get it While The Link is AvailaYes and thanks. You've offered something to others for free - what more can anybody want?

Re: Elephant Christmas 2018: Get it While The Link is AvailaThank you again for the updated charts. Our brass group will be playing "I Wonder as I Wander" during church services on December 16th. Another brass group has played several of you arrangements as walk in music between services. I suspect we will be doing the same this year. Wade, your gift is very appreciated and is being used to make the holiday season nicer for a lot of people.

Re: Elephant Christmas 2018: Get it While The Link is AvailaYes, I use Finale 25 on a 27" iMac (2013) running High Sierra. I started off using Finale 2.5 on a Macintosh Quadra 700 mini tower which was my second favorite computer, ever.

HAHA!! Here’s the problem... Someone says “are you a Christian” and the reply is “yes” followed by “oh, REALLY, what kind of Christian” or “are you Christian enough?” Followed by “WOW, I’m really sorry I said ‘yes’” ![]() Who needs four valves??

You must be some ign'ant pole. "Chrusteaons" can be sorted in these ways: ONLY! ![]() - bath vs. shampoo - liquor vs. sweets - piany vs. *no piany - statues vs. gymnasiums - firmament vs. argument _______________________________________________________ *me...?? I don't much care for the "no piany" ones...They never hire me to make blatt noises in the winter and spring.

Re: Elephant Christmas 2018: Get it While The Link is AvailaJust played these this morning. We loved Sleigh Ride, Santa Baby, Christmas Time is Here (added a repeat from B to the end), Have Yoursel and I wonder. Our euphonium player got freaked by the improv part on let it snow and we didn’t get to the others. We’re performing them at a Christmas market-thing next weekend and planning to play I Wonder in Christmas Eve. Thanks for these!
Re: Elephant Christmas 2018: Get it While The Link is Availa
CRAP! I am sorry! I forgot the repeat! It is actually supposed to be both sections, so at the end of B go back to A. SORRY! Regarding the improv, it is just the melody two times through, so eight and eight of the same thing. The background changes style the second eight. See if he can just play the melody twice for that. It is easy enough to figure out by ear. But I would suggest he write out what he wants to play, perhaps some *very* simple solo for the second eight with him playing the melody for the first eight. After the solo he has the melody for the "B" section, so the (pre-composed-in-the-safety-of-his-home-in-private) "improv" eight bars would sound better after he does the melody. So: eight bars of the melody. Eight bars of a simple tune that fits the chords. Back the the written part pickups into the next section. It would give him a chance to mess around and be a bit of a euphonium star for like 30 seconds, heh, heh. Remember that this is the Arthur Frackenpohl arrangement with a completely different tuba part, and with a new second half after his "Rudolph" quote. After "Rudolph" it is mostly me to the end, except for several bars of his from the original that I liked. I just updated "Christmas Time is Here" to include the repeat. It is hoped that next year I will write out the repeat to be an improv solo for our second trumpeter on his flugelhorn. But that is next year. The missing bars have been restored, simply by playing them a second time. It is a cheap fix, but one that was needed. I am very sorry that tune went out like that. Because I have added a few more things and now this one tune has some changes I am reposting everything again. All the files received comments or criticisms from my "test quintet" editors around the US and I have incorporated all the minor changes, some being musical but most of them small formatting issues. (I spent HOURS fixing every damned staccato mark in every file because my files are all buggy. None of them display correctly.) So just about every .pdf file was altered in some manner, some in a substantive way. This set is not compressed, so the Dropbox page will display them. It would do this for some folks on their computers, but none of the Dropbox phone apps can display the contents of a compressed archive. Now they are uncompressed so you can download (or just look at them) from your phone. Download this set, dump your old ones. If you already printed them, toss them after this year and just reprint them next year, if you don't have the time to do so before the next performance. (But this current set is better. Hint, hint...) Here are the individual PDF files with all the field testing incorporated into them. Yes, these all have been play-tested and updated for your safety and pleasure, heh, heh... Here are the mp3 files of the MIDI information from each Finale file. (Not as cheesy as they once were.) Soft soldering outdoors in a heavy wind sucks. There. I said it.
