I received a copy of David Zerkel's CD from Hickey's yesterday. I really like it and would encourage everyone to buy a copy:

Hey Mark!

Thanks for the plug! I'm happy that you enjoyed the disc!

If anyone would like to buy a disc, drop me a note and I'll be happy to send you one. My kids have become accustomed to eating in the summer, so any little bit helps!

Thanks again for the kind words!

Best regards,
DZ

I want to second Mark's statements! This is a terrific CD! Professor Zerkel's playing is immaculate. I had the great pleasure of having him at BG to perform a recital my first year teaching. He put on a terrific show, and is a very genuine person in addition. A wonderful artist all around.

Kudos Dave!

It really is a nice CD, great playing, good recording work, and a good selection of music.

Do you know if the Woodward Concerto is available for orchestra or is it only for piano or band?

If I'm not mistaken, Zerk performed it with the Army Orchestra at one of the past DC conferences. Dave, please correct me if I'm wrong. Don't know if it's a rental or available for purchase, but again, Dave's a better source of info on that.

I checked the Tuba-Euphonium Press web site and they only listed it for piano or band. Where can I find the orchestra version.
