Conn 1

Post by gionvil »

I am selling an original Conn 1 in very good conditions, restored by Bloke a few years ago. I would say it's perfect if it weren't for a very light mark amid shank (barely visible, see picture), caused by a flutist who tried to use it to straighten his tube while I was taking a break (since then I learned never to leave the mouthpiece in the horn during intermissions).
Located in Italy. Price U.S.$ 170,00 or Euro 150,00 + shipping.

To the Flautist, "I'm sure it won't cost you more than $150 to get this mouthpiece repaired. Do you want to pay me now?"

Beautiful! This is my favorite tuba mouthpiece, for a big tuba.

Yes Donn, it's a very good mouthpiece. I play currently a Holton 52 which is very similar ( but not identical) just because of historical coherence ( I use it on a Holton:)) but the Conn is somehow more "sophisticated", at least aesthetically.
