Looking to Upgrade to a CC Tuba
I'm a college freshman, currently playing on a Mack Brass MACK-TU210L, and I'm looking to upgrade to a C Tuba. I had bought a St. Petersburg 209N, and I had to return the horn, putting me back at square one. Money's kind of tight. I'm hoping to get maybe a used Miraphone 188, or something comparable for (hopefully) under $4500.

Here's a nice looking Miraphone 186:

Finding a 188 in that price range probably isn't going to happen.

There's a 188 on the Facebook tuba/euphonium marketplace I think. Been there for a while.

Not sure if you’re willing to go back to St.Petersburg or not but I’ve got a 209N with a hard case listed at Baltimore Brass for $3595. The horn has had a lot of work done to make it both more comfortable and easier to play. It’s one of the best playing St. Pete’s I’ve ever played and I would have held onto it if I needed a smaller CC.

I know this is massively outside your price range, but I figured I'd throw it out there anyway. My PT-6P is up for sale for $10,000:
