^ Looks pretty old to me --> clocksprings + S-linkage, keel on bottom bow, large thumbring, kranz on bell.
Maybe 1950s, or older? I dunno.....

Also, is it me or does this tuba look nickel-plated?

Since shipping from Ukraine it’s possible it was nickel plated in the USSR. Also the badge on the bell, possibly made before WW II?

Looks like nickel to me. I like the aerofoil brace between the top bow and the bell. Original Cerveny?

The seller is reputable. Bought from them before. Decent looking old horn.

c1925 - 1940s That "CSR" badge was used after WW-I until around the end of WW-II. It has the "new style" stop plates, placing it after c1925. Looks generally pretty rough and that plating ...

^ Well, I think it looks OK for it's age. Could be a really good player with some TLC, ya never know! And I actually kinda dig the nickel plate 'look' on an old tuba like that 8)

It would be nice if they took a picture of the front of the entire tuba in one image.
