i tried to send a copy to everybody that sent me an e-mail, but many were sent back because the mailbox was full. the concerto is one file and is fairly large. if you make space, send me another e-mail, and i'll try to send it to you again.

Not sure if you're still looking for recordings of this concerto, but the only recordings I know of that haven't been mentioned are Oystein's (on 20th Century Tuba Concertos) and Aaron Tindall's (on Songs of Ascent).

Did you get a hold of the Schmitz and Pokorny bootlegs?

There, you will find many version of the John Williams Tuba Concerto for free. Like Velvet Brown and besides a lot of tuba cds.

I have digital recordings of both Roger Bobo and Gene Pokorny playing this piece live with orchestra that Tommy Johnson gave me sometime in the mid-nineties. They are packed away right now since I'm moving, but I should have them back in a month or so. They are not for sale, but I might be able to send them to someone who is learning...

Andreas Martin Hofmeir has recorded it commercially as well. Here's a good'un on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GyiDwtve-LY" target="_blank with Hans Nickel and the WDR Symphony. There's an accompanying video of the encore from that gig as well, with Jabba the Hutt.

AMH album is Called “On The Way” out on Sony Classical. It also has the Duda Tuba Concerto as well. A very good CD indeed.
