Boehm & Meinl made some fine tubas, I'll bet this one is no exception.

Only one flaw in the advertising. Bohm & Meinl was making tubas long before Fred Marzan was on the scene. All Marzan did was put the main tuning slide 'on the top'... a feature that is not on this horn.

Take another look Dan. This B&M is a Marzan with a B&M badge. While this tuba uses the same bugle as the York Master model that B&M made the layout for the valves and slides were Fred's idea. Or so Fred said when I talked to him.

I did and compared the image with others I have on my computer. My bad. The main slide is on top but the image is not as clear as it could be. As far as the bell and open bugle goes.... they are identical. All that changes there is the engraving.

No. She never had it on the premises. Although she did try to connect me with a buyer that never got in touch. Too bad for them. This one is Eric approved.

Gotcha. She mentioned something about a Marzan to me a while back. Looks like a winner to me!

My house is within the circle on that map. Is the tuba located within that circle?

I'm not in the market, but if I was, it pretty mich wouldn't get any easier than that.

I'd like to give it a try, but won't waste Chuck's time to go kick the tires. Besides, this is a lot of tuba for the $... people are always looking for a nice 4/4 BBb tuba, I don't need to get in the way of that. :)

Since some of you seem to like looking at this ad (2688 times) with out buying I want you to know I have another B&M tuba in parts. It will require dents being removed and a couple of small parts being made. Any body want to make an offer?
