Hello, all! Up for sale is a Wessex 6/4 Chicago York CC tuba (20 inch bell). Full details on the model at:

I hand picked this horn out of the first shipment of 3 to the US Michigan factory about 1 year ago. It comes with the MTS supplied hard case (good quality, good latches and handles, not the old style). Horn is in new condition and has been very gently cared for. They are currently out of stock in Silver on the Wessex website and are $9995 plus shipping new.
This one is up for sale at $8,600. With a horn this size, I highly recommend picking it up in person, but shipping can be arranged at the buyers expense via greyhound bus. It's located in the Cincinnati, OH area.

Why am I selling? Only for the reason that I can not suffice owning two Contrabass large tubas at this time. My other horn is a 6/4 Bb and if I could, I would keep this as well, as I believe they each stand out individually on different orchestral/band pieces. Being someone who has owned most of the various large model CC tubas over the years, I can say this has been my favorite and the closest thing I've played in sound comparison to a W. Nirschl York. Chuck Nickles and the Wessex team deserve high accreditation for creating this horn in this price range and I can almost guarantee I'll have one again down the road (when tired of playing Bb and ready to go back to CC).
Please feel free to private message me anytime, thanks!
Kyle

Guys, I've only the best things to say about this horn. It has a big sound but is extraordinarily flexible, nimble, and just fun to play. Kyle takes great care of his instruments and picks out particularly good examples. He's as honest as they get and a great guy to work with - highly highly recommend if you're in the market for a 6/4 CC you take the time to head to northern Kentucky and check out this beauty! Good luck with the sale.
