SOLD

Post by cthompsonjr »

I don’t really want to get rid of this horn, but my bills and wife say otherwise! It is in very good condition. The satin gold plating is 98% intact. Only two small dents on the top of the shoulder branch and a few small dings around the outer branches of the body. The valve plating is 100% and the compression is great! All of the tuning slides move very smoothly. Comes with a gold plated neck, bit, Neotech bottom bow pad and a vinyl-covered, wood Conn case good enough for shipping. Asking $3000, which includes shipping via Greyhound Package Express. Pics are in the link below.

Wow. That's a pretty horn!

Did you have the valves replated?

No, that’s the original plating on the valves! I think the horn was only played a few times back then and has sat in a case since the latter part of last year.

Man oh man that is absolutely beautiful and a steal at that price. If only I was nearby to try it, I'd probably buy it and stupidly end up selling my much lighter horn. Those things are rare and one in that condition is ultra rare, maybe one of a kind. Wow!
Keep playing, because expression is life.

I am amazed that this has not sold! I would not be at all surprised if it originally belonged to A Helleberg. I know he had a couple gold Conns...…...…...
