I have used them in Europe in the past for smaller things and have always been very satisfied with price and service.

I purchased Mike McLean practice mutes from them. One tuba and one euphonium mute. The price was low, even with international shipping. It also arrived sooner than I expected.

I have purchased from them a couple times and was satisfied each time. Bought a Schlipf mute much cheaper than I could get it here in the states even with international shipping added on. Also got a Ritter gig bad for my euphonium which I really like and it was 1/2 of what I would have paid for something similar here in the states.

I thought I read on their site the they do not ship instruments(tubas?) to the US, but I could be mistaken.

I get them routinely when ordering parts from Europe (usually via FedEx), but I have yet to deal with Thomann. I assume it would be similar, though.

I ordered a GARD gig bag for my 19" bell Besson Eb tuba, from their store in Germany. The price was considerably lower than the same item from Musicians Friend in the USA, as were their shipping costs to Australia. It arrived within five days, which is a record for me for musical items shipped from the UK, Europe or the USA over many years. Ditto for a Schlipf tuba practice mute shipped from Germany by Thomann. In both cases everything arrived in perfect condition.

I play the Thomann F Tuba Fireball. The leadpipe is a little bit high, but I am very contended.
