Has anyone compared this horn between its 4v and 5v? Does the fifth valve make the horn a worse player like it does on some horns? Also are there any hard cases that can fit these?

Well, having played a couple 5V piston Fafners, if the 4V versions play better, that would be incredible. The 5 banger is ROCK SOLID....

I currently have a 4 valve 195P and at my last duty station I had a 5 valve 195P. Honestly, I don't really notice much difference. I don't mind the 4 valve 195P. It has excellent "false" or "privileged" tones. However, if I were primarily an orchestral player, those 235 combinations binations can come in handy.

I use the MTS Products 1209v (https://www.musiciansfriend.com/accesso ... ba&index=2" target="_blank) for my 195P.
