Hi Dylan,

Nice video, love your approach and humor. I redesigned the 5th valve paddle and linkage and the parts are in. The new design will allow you to put the thumb ring back on and reduces the throw by almost 40%.

I sent you a msg a while back letting you know that the new 5th valve paddle and linkage parts were in and ready to ship. Call me so I can send it to you as I only have the address for where I shipped you the tuba.

Maybe I will send you one of the new 6/4 Thunderbird tubas so you can do a video on that.

I don't mean to sidetrack this post, but this is the one I looking forward to... I would love to tru one of these, but I don't believe there is one located within a couple hours of me, so I'll have to wait until my work schedule allows.

I have taken measurements and the f tuba uses the same bell as the CC. So the 16" bell used for the 421 will work on the Yamaha F tuba. The Yamaha F bottom bow starts off with the same diameter as the CC but changes after that for the rest of the body. When I ordered extra 16" bells, the bells that arrived were actually 15" so something happened in the translation and the wrong size was sent. Currently I have two 16" bells on order, I only ordered 2 for now, and these should be here after Thanksgiving. If they get the size right i will be ordering more. The 16" bell does take away some of the pop so to speak, but the sound is much more refined in my opinion. Currently I have a 621 F sitting at my brothers house in NY that I purchased and since I have these 15" bells on hand I will be installing one on that F once I get it to experiment with.

Piston F tuba is on the table now, can't say just yet what it will be but I guarantee it will be great.

Hi Dylan,

thanks for that video and also the unboxing one too, do you think the 421S is mouthpiece sensitive or the sound could differ from the different cup shape and depth?

thanks

Louis
