I'm looking for King Sousaphone parts (pre-1985), specifically valves and slides to restore mine. I've been pretty vigilant on ebay but there are very few "parts" sousaphones for sale. Spoke to a lot of the shops but no one has any of these used parts in stock at the moment. Just thought I'd see if someone has an old King laying around that they're willing to part out.
Thanks!

I have a Bb King sousaphone valve cluster from about 1930. Valves work - do leak a bit, but everything is there. Would this be what you are looking for?

I'm not sure if those will fit.
Here's what I'm working with: https://imgur.com/a/K9RNVHw
It looks like my model might have a different valve configuration.

Looks like it. Do you know how old your sousaphone is? The HN White site should have your serial number listed as far as a year goes. How did the horn lose its valves and slides? Looks good otherwise.

I believe based off the serial number it's 1981 or 1982. It belonged to a university marching band who stripped it for parts and then gave me what was left.

Re: WTB-King Sousaphone Parts
Would anyone familiar with King sousaphones know what model King or Conn tubas/sousaphones have parts that fit my sousa?
I found this one on Ebay but I can't figure out if the parts would fit mine. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-KING-S ... SwFWda5kZ4

The eBay horn here is an old H.N. White-era sousa in Eb. I'm pretty sure King used the same .687" valve bore on most of their tubas and sousas, BBb and Eb, except for a few models. You have the King Instruments USA-era (1970s-1980s) 2350 sousa, which was made after the H.N. White era, but before the current Conn-Selmer era. I'd look for King 2350 sousa parts and stay away from the older H.N. White sousas because even if they have the same slide bores, I think the crook widths are a little different.Boston.Tuba wrote:Would anyone familiar with King sousaphones know what model King or Conn tubas/sousaphones have parts that fit my sousa?
