FS is my 5/4 Friedrich Gessner F tuba, 5 valves, bare brass.
The instrument dates from around 1930: F. Gessner worked at Breslau (now Wroclaw in Poland) till 1934.
Height of the tuba is 98 cm, bell 35 cm, weight only 6,5 kg!!! Very thin, but excellent quality brass. Large bore (20 mm; 5th valve 19 mm) for an F tuba from that era. Results in an unexpected good low register and a nice vibrating sound. Intonation is OK, very manageable. Slides and valves work very well (and quiet).
Price is Euro 2450 or USD 2735 (excl. shipment). Gigbag available.
