Thought folks might be interested in seeing some photos of my new Cronkhite bag that arrived today. I’ve seen questions from time to time about the quality since Torpedo acquired the business from Glenn Cronkhite. These might answer some of them.
It fits my Eastman 836 perfectly - this is the chocolate brown leather option. I really like the new dark interior material - previous bags were a lighter color that showed dirt and grease spots over time. The hardware, zippers and stitching are very similar to my older bag for my F tuba that was made by Glenn. I’ve had a number of these bags over the years, and this one is just as solid as ever.

Re: New Cronkhite bag for Eastman 836
I picked one up in the cinnamon leather and the quality is great. A little on the expensive side but it's the best bag on the market for a side loader. I also compared it with one of his original made bags and the only thing I didn't like was the black music holder in the front. At least they could have made it the same color.
