Coffee coffee coffee...

A month or two ago, my wife got a great deal on a Technivorm coffee maker from a kitchen store that went out of business and was liquidating inventory. Same beans as we always had, but the coffee tastes MUCH better. Cool stuff. :)

I just polished off a BIG bowl of buttery popcorn and a quadruple shot of Jamisons Irish whiskey... my favorite Satueday night snack!

I found a couple of cans of Sixpoint Winter Warmer in the pantry. It's March, winter is over! :) Time to drain these and make room for spring beers. Time for Maibock yet?

The things you learn when you have to go way, WAY far into alternative medicine in order to have a normal-ish life. I love tea, and I especially love a particular Japanese green tea that has high levels of theonine in it. But I found it is a DAO inhibitor (look it up) and raises my histamine level to the point where I get out of bed grumpy and stay that way. So I am drinking Mexican coke for my allowed bad habit, not being able to drink coffee EITHER because a) it is high histamine and b) it is a methyl donor and throws me into over-methylation. Like I said, the things you learn when you have to go WAY into alternative medicine. Your MD will not have any knowledge of either of these, I suspect, but I bet you can find NDs who do.
So the short answer is: water and Mexican coke (sugar, not fructose.) That's it.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

A healthy dose of sixty-five plus year-old Haig & Haig 'Pinch' and nice bowl of buttered popcorn. It's my reward for enduring our 2nd to last rehearsal prior to NABBA!

Freshly ground, cold-brewed (for 24+/- hours), Rocky Coast Roast coffee from Bath, Maine.

Black. So smooth and delicious.

I'm sipping away on a Fremont "The Sister" imperial IPA. Not quite the 11.5% ABV of that Flying Dog "Double Dog" double IPA (!!), but a respectable 8.5 in a nicely balanced simple west coast IPA. Fremont Brewing is local in the sense of I can walk there in fairly short order. Named after a nearby neighborhood, once a quirky artists' ghetto but now crawling with affluent young hipster computer programmers; once famous for incredible artistic spectacles like its Solstice parade, now famous for the naked bicyclists that have become the main attraction for the same parade.

Mexican coke (made with sugar, not corn syrup.) I got a 24 bottle case of the stuff for $20. One a day, for breakfast.
