*SOLD* Kaiser Bb-tuba

Post by simonfrisk.tuba »

Kaiser Bb-tuba
All handmade
Weight only 9,5 kg
22mm bore
45 cm bell
Nickel plated
111 cm
From the 1935-40
Short 4th slide.

without engraving unfortunately ... Coming from the Markneukirchen or Graslic school. The ones I talked to in Germany / Czech Republic have guessed that the Tuba are from one of these factories:
Bohland & Fuchs
Hees
Hüttel

Changed valve mechanics, lead pipe and 1st valve. Don't know when or by whom.

No case included.

It has great dark round sound. Extremely bottom base sound. Sounds like a double bass. Pretty good intonation except from the short 4th slide, which you need to pull all the way out or play with different fingerings to be able to play in tune. Everything else works really well. A little slower, “older” tone production. All slides works and 1st slide can be used as a trigger.
