Hi everyone,
(I'm doing a bit of advertising here, but not really selling anything, so if this needs to be moved, please let me know.)
A few weeks ago, Will Samson of the President's Own Marine Band and I started a project to help folks out during the time of quarantines and distancing. (We've even gotten Zach Bridges of Pershing's Own to help out too!)
We felt that while our own musical life was disrupted, it would be even harder on students and others studying their respective instruments. Our attempt at helping this issue is to record videos of the individual parts of the Arban Duets and post them through social media for folks to play along with us. To take it one step further and make it simpler for folks who may not have a copy of the Arbans book yet, we arranged our own copies of the duets (from the originals in public domain) and include the music in the videos. For those that enjoy sheet music, whether on a tablet or actual paper, there's a link to each duet for folks to print or use in their practice.
One thing we want to stress with this is we are not looking for any money for this project; we only want to help better a difficult situation and continue folks practicing, playing, and studying the tuba. I've included the links for the social media platforms below if anyone is interested in checking it out:
