Here's an entertaining video of police relations with the public they serve. I think their work would have been even better had they added a Sousaphone to the mix.

Re: No Sousaphone?
Mariachi bands don't usually have a tuba. Despite this, I like them a lot!

Re: No Sousaphone?
No. No sousaphone. That is "banda" music, a mash-up of mariachi and big band. The proper bass instrument for mariachi is the guitarron.

Re: No Sousaphone?
Yup, Mariachi is all strings + Trumpets + sometimes an accordion.
Banda would be what you're looking for.
On the topic of Police/Military bands, found this clip with Sousas.

If anyone's familiar with Polka/Oompa Music,
How are multiple Tubas incorporated in the music?
Do they just bounce between the 1st & 5 degree, each taking on a chord for each of the notes making up the Triad?
i.e. CMaj
C-G?
E-B?
G-D?

Re: No Sousaphone?
In days of yore, police departments across the US had bands... It's time to bring them back.
