SOLD: Meinl Weston Fafner

Post by jimgray »

Update: this instrument is SOLD.

For sale is my wonderful rotary Fafner, MW's 5/4 BBb with 4 valves, an immense sound and surprising efficiency.
This instrument is a complete joy to play, especially if you love the rich Germanic tone tradition as much as I have.

Full details here: https://www.melton-meinl-weston.com/en/" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank ... bas/195-2/" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank

Included with this instrument is a MW Aluminum case and a Cronkite bag.
All are in excellent condition and located in my home just south of Boston.

$7,500 and worth every single penny.

Please PM me with any questions.

I visited Jim, who was a delight to deal with, and played his horn, which was also delightful. I’m a piston guy, however, and was satisfied with my current crop so took a pass on his beauty.

I did! The buyer decided it wasn't the style of horn he was looking for, so I took it back. Now it's time to find the right home for her.
