The difference between high brasses and human-sized brasses

Post by Art Hovey »

Two trumpet players meet up after years of not seeing each other.

One guy says to the other, "so what have you been up to?"

"Well last year I won a Grammy for my first solo CD"

"oh yeah? ... I hadn't heard that."

"Eight months ago I was awarded the most valuable player in the LA studios award"

"Really? ... I hadn't heard that either."

"But the last six months or so I haven't done much ... I've been having some chops problems"

"Oh yea ... I DID hear about that!"

LOL...

could it be that we, as wind players, are becoming a sort of lost art. it's as if vocals and digital media are trying to take over the world!! :(
