Gard 5/4 wheelie bag f/s

Post by jpwell »

Up for sale is this lightly used gig bag. It has large amounts of zippered storage. Great compartment for music folder. Can be wheeled or put on your back. All filler pads included. Great protection for a horn.

I had a 43.5 inch tall horn in it. Fit fine.

I used it for one college semester and bought a different horn. Horn gone this needs to leave too.

I never figured out how to post Picts so pm me your email address and I will send them to you.

I would like to get $300 for it. Buyer pays real shipping costs.

Bag located in central Illinois.

Thx Jim

Would it hold a mack Brass ZO 6000? Aka ZTU 6000? I believe it's a 5/4 but having a hard time looking up the numbers on it.

We love our smaller Gard case so much my daughter will occasionally play an inferior tuba just because she likes the case better, but it won't hold our bigger horn (we tried). What have you had in it so far?

I had a Mack brass TU200 in it. It filled the whole case. Have no idea on the size of your horn. Don’t see it on Mack brass site.
Case is on woodwind and brasswind site.

The TU200 has a tall, 'stove pipe' bell. The ZO 6000 is definitely 5/4 size, but looks to have a shorter bell (and wider). I think the bigger question here is width and depth. Perhaps you two could swap dimensions on width and depth (bell diameter). Since the bell rests at the bottom of the wheelie, the diameter is crucial.

Still for sale as of March 3, 2022? I have a Meinl Weston MW 25, approximately 42” tall. Sounds like that might work.

Let me know if it’s still available and, if possible, shipping cost to Tucson.

Thanks.

Would you be so kind to post the model of the gig bag? I'm in the market and would like to see the dimensions. Thank you!
