Although, I lived in Maryland for almost 30 years, and never heard it called that.

How regional. No one outside of that area will have ever heard that term, so to avoid confusion, regional terms like that ought to be avoided. It takes little effort to type in those few additional letters.
The whole ad lacks effort.
