Selling my trusty Firebird F after 10 years or regular use. I've played it at ITEC, pro orchestras, lots of chamber music, and just for fun. Like most Miraphones, it's reliable, responsive, generally in tune, sounds good, and delivers exactly what I ask of it. It's got some light lacquer wear from use, but no dents. Valves are vented, slides are dialed in and move like butter - it's ready to go to the next gig.
But, as you know, the last couple years has a lot of us reevaluating our priorities. I just don't play out like I used to, and I really don't play this horn at all anymore. My wife and I are looking at buying a house in this crazy market, and the money could be used elsewhere.
It comes with a red and black Cronkhite bag which fits like a glove. Horn is in Durham NC and I'm willing to drive a couple hours to meet a serious buyer. I also have access to a large room at a music store to play test if you come to Durham. Price is negotiable.

Re: Miraphone Firebird 6v -$9,500
Dan - I'm assuming this is the one you bought off me?
Dang - 5 days sooner and I would've bought it back from you!!!! I bought a new horn this past Friday. We should get together sometime. I'm over in the Knighdale area.
For anyone wondering, I bought this Firebird from Matt Walters up at Dillon's around 2008-2009 and he had told me that it's former owner was Scott Mendoker.
This is a really great instrument. Anyone would be lucky to pick it up.

I am only seeing a picture of the gig bag. Am I doing something wrong?

Nope, for some reason it made a link to just the one photo.
