Here's my take on the legendary Martin BBb with a few added touches of my own. The basis is the best sounding and most in tune Martin 6/4 branches through the tuning slide. The bell is Cerveny Kaiser that I purchased directly from the factory. The valve cluster is repurposed from a Yorkmaster 0.748" (19mm) bore (B & M, Nirschl) tuba. That increased the bore significantly from the original ca. 0.718". The horn plays very well in tune and has the low register of your dreams. It's the very best of my 6/4 rebuilds. I've enjoyed building it and playing it in brass band and concert band and would not hesitate to play it in orchestra if the opportunity arose to play some Prokofiev or Shostakovitch etc.
This is an AS-IS sale. It will polish up nicely. The valves look worn but function well and have good compression. It comes as pictured with the large valve buttons. No case nor mouthpiece. I like the PT-88 or for a brighter sound the Marcinkiewicz N3 or N2.
$5500 OBO.
I will not ship but am willing to meet up within 100mi radius of Fort Wayne, IN. (Chicago, Detroit, Columbus, Dayton, Indianapolis, Grand Rapids, Toledo, etc.)

Re: 6/4 Martin BBb 2.0
Are there any of those slides that you can reach and pull with the left hand while playing?
What do you normally pull to get down to pedal C or B natural?
No water keys on 1 or 3, do you get accumulations?
Overall height and bell diameter?
What does the beast weigh?

Re: 6/4 Martin BBb 2.0
The slides for the first three valves are accessible to the left hand whilst playing. The privilege tones for the C (12)
and B (23) are quite useable. The third valve slide is very long and may be pulled to produce the fingered versions of those notes.
