This is a circa 1910-1911 Conn “Giant” Eb tuba with three top-action valves. Attic find, lots of patina but valves are in good shape with plenty of plating (maybe A- or B+ range). 17” bell. No tears or major dents in bell. A few dings on the body of the horn but overall it's in very solid shape. I put a nickel patch on the leadpipe and fixed a few busted solder joints. Low pitch, plays close to A=440, but just a full disclosure that the intonation is pretty wonky, typical of this type of extra large Eb tuba. Would be a good horn to learn Eb, mess around on, or to use in your next Frankentuba project.
