Bruckner 291 Gold Brass W/Custom leather cronkhite bag

Post by Cthuba »

For your consideration is a Miraphone Bruckner 291 in Gold Brass. The instrument has very recently been serviced and is ready to be played.

While sending my other tubas off to be serviced, leaving me with this one, I have found myself wishing I could keep it. The tone is great and the intonation is good, but above all else it has the most accessible low register of any tuba I have ever played. Ive recently acquired a PT6p and cannot afford to keep both. Despite the PT6p, if I were playing an exposed pedal register feature, I would keep this tuba for that. The pedal register is that secure.

I cannot state enough that if I weren’t worried about my car, and had a much more stable financial situation… this tuba wouldn’t be going anywhere.

Condition is good with some minor dings (pictured) and the bell was creased during a polka gig… never leave your horn unattended folks!!!

Everything you see here including the beautiful Glen Cronkite leather bag retails for over 14k EASY.

My offer is FIRM at $7,300

I am located in Asheville, NC

Cheers 🍻

Update: I’m looking to move this horn out of my house soon as in early September. It will be sold on consignment through Baltimore Brass at higher markup (2-3k) where it will not sit in my house taking up space 👍

Please message me if you are interested before that time.
