S-Mute Introduction

Post by Nathan.Sobieralski »

Hello Tubists!

My name is Nathan Sobieralski and I am owner of S-Mute, a relative newcomer to the brass instrument accessory space. I am also a professional trumpet player and educator located in California's Central Valley.

I have currently have one product specifically for tube, and that is my variable thickness cork adapter set for tuba mutes. This set allows you to install cork assemblies of various thickness via my patented removable cork system, to customize the depth of the mute in your bell and/or to allow a single mute to be used on tubas with varied bell throat diameters.

In development is a tuba version of my variable resistance mouthpiece buzzing tool.

I also the inventor and producer of the "Salt Shaker" mute. This mute is available for tenor and bass trombone and produces a soft/velvety style sound akin to a bucket mute. It has gained widespread popularity among trombonists.
