Actually, why practise at all ? Practice is for people with small d**ks. Just go and perform public sightreading like a real man / woman.
Then again, I like small ducks. When grilled, they are more tender and taste better than the old, grown-up ones.

Boy! We have so many "gifted" musicians in Texas! He gets added to the list of "special" tuba players on this board.
Yet another future freshman flunk out. You have no idea. Start posting topics when you are actually old enough to drink like a tuba player, and by then maybe you will realize that the stuff your teacher has you do is for a reason
Aw, we ought to leave him alone: he has the world by the b*lls for a couple years until he tries to make it in college (with a "world-class sound" can he miss?). Let him live in bliss. Reminds me of a favorite quotation:
