HUGE mouthpiece

Post by Hank74 »

The reason for writing this has to do with something I saw on TV at the local Labor Day parade. A guy was playing a lacquer brass sousa today and apparently had a huge mouthpiece that covered his entire face. I was saying to myself, "Wow, maybe I should get one!" Then I looked closer and noticed it was a stryofoam cup with a hole put into the gooseneck. Have any of you ever seen anything like this? If so, what do you think this might mean?

I thought the best way to do that was to move behind the french horns.
