I have been giving this case some serious thought unlike everyone else who thinks it is just a good excuse for really bad puns.
I assume that some one took a cow hide and applied it on top of a regular tuba case. To me, this just seems to add unnecessary weight to an already heavy item. On the other hand, the case is visually stunning.
So, how do we get a beautiful, eye-catching way to transport our tubas without adding to our physical burden? The answer is brilliant: a pack cow, a cow that you can strap your tubas onto. There are several advantages:
1) This will be even more eye-catching than a hide covered case.
2) You don't have to kill a cow just to make your case look pretty. Although, you will have to feed a cow.
3) No more sore backs from carrying heavy tubas. Although, you might hurt your back lifting the cow out of your car.

I had also given it some thought, up to the when I read the bell size. Since the 22" bell on my sons' Conn doesn't fold like a navy fighter jets wings, had to scrap the ideaMark wrote:I have been giving this case some serious thought unlike everyone else who thinks it is just a good excuse for really bad puns.

Don't forget #4... if you feed the cow your need to be ready clean up after the cow! Do you have a big shovel?Mark wrote:2) You don't have to kill a cow just to make your case look pretty. Although, you will have to feed a cow.

Tuba Cow????
My first effort at tuba clip art... appropriate for this thread I think?
But then I kind of like this one I found out on the web tonight... even though it has nothing to do with tubas.

Looks like a typical post on BoviNet ... and makes a good "case study", too!Bandmaster wrote:But then I kind of like this one I found out on the web tonight... even though it has nothing to do with tubas.
