And guess what? This is my old Rudy Meinl F tuba. Chris even used my pictures of the horn on his ebay add. That is against the rules, but as a tubenet friend I'll let him slide. 
The horn did belong to Tommy. He had Robb Stewart, who is excellent by the way, maker of Jim Self's Fluba, switch the fifth valve to the thumb position. I know he played it in a number of films in the early nineties and both Tommy and I agreed that it has the prettiest high register of any F tuba we had tried. He sold it when he started playing exclusively on his 822 F in 1992.
I used the horn sparingly over the years, but it is a great horn. It has a wonderful soloistic sound, and can be played in tune easily with the six valves. The valves also allow for some great trill alternatives, especially in the Vaughn Williams Concerto.
Good luck selling the thing. I miss it a bunch. It is more difficult to center the few notes around low C, but with a good feel for the horn, it doesn't cause problems. It just isn't possible for a horn like this to sound like a CC tuba in that register. If you absolutely need that, get a Yamaha. That's what I did.
Another thing I remember that was exceptional is the pedal register. Going all the way down it is centered, and the sound is silky and smooth. I would often use this horn to play a pedal note or two in recordings. It sounded better than my Yorkbrunner in the LOW-LOW range.
It's kind of fun still knowing it's around. I wonder who'll get it next?
