CC King "Bill Bell's" tuba - tracking down existan

I am interested in hearing from anyone who may happen to own/know of existant models of the CC rotary-valve King (designed cir. 1934) similar to the model used by Bill Bell, Abe Torchinsky, and Joe Novotny. I have heard from several sources that only 6 or 7 of these exist, and I am interested in somehow confirming whether this information is correct or not, if possible, as well with communicating with anyone who may still use one for performance purposes. - paulhaugan@sbcglobal.net.

I owned one briefly in the early 1980's. I got it from Ivan Hammond at Bolling Green State University in Ohio. It was satin silver with a gold washed inner bell. The bell was 22 " in diameter. The third valve slide did not have the conversion that Mr. Torchinsky made.

I sold it to a student of Don Harry's at Juilliard. He, in turn, sold it to Mark Jones in Buffalo, New York. I have since talked to both Don and Mark. They cannot remember where the tuba went when Mark sold it years ago. If it is out there, I would be interested in buying it back.

I also remember a picture of William Lewin, formerly of the National Symphony Orchestra, pictured with a King "Artitst's Model" rotary valved CC tuba.

Mike Lynch, I believe has 2, if not 3 of the King CC's. Mr. Torchinsky's is in the hands of a former student.

There is one owned by a gentleman in New York that formerly worked for Dillon's.
