If you do not belong to ITEA and did not receive this CD will the latest Journal, you'll be able to purchase it from Mark Records.

There is a great variety of music on this CD. Mr. Phillips plays it all with remarkable range and agility--all on a 1921 Conn CC tuba.

I was fortunate to be floored as a young player to have seen and heard Harvey play as my intro to professional level tuba in the early 70's. In addition to his wonderful technique and musicality, he could make that little Conn project and fill up a huge room like nothing I'd heard before. I'm envious of my collegue G.R. Davis of having studied with him AND Mr. Bell at Indiana, who did a great job of compiling this collection.

I have not heard this disc yet, but I have heard from TWO different sources, who are not usually overly enthused about tuba discs, that this collection is just freakish good.

I received mind 3-4 weeks ago. I understand the CD will also be available through (1) Mark Records, and (2) the Harvey Phillips Foundation.
