This is right up there with the mock-up EEEb subcontrabass that has made its way around England as an exhibit, including the guy who now has it offering to take your picture "playing" it on eBay! That one actually had me guessing for awhile.

Yes.

WRONG!

My friend has been working on the game over the past few months. Hopefully it will be out soon. No xBox either! :P And, there is no super cool controller or other features (like the fat guy choices), you use a keyboard instead of a sousaphone.

Here is a demo of it.

At the beginning you see a picture of someone with a Sousaphone; that's me!

the elephant wrote:Very nice, but that is not the game described in the fictional satire from The Onion. That article was a joke, as are so many other fine articles from that website. And that joke article was what started this thread and is what is being discussed here.

Since your friend has a similar game "in development" then maybe you could share more concrete details about it? So far it looks like a haxie. Does your friend work for the company that developed Guitar Hero? If not he will probably get sued to death if he names his game Sousaphone Hero. Good luck …

He doesn't work for any company, he's just making the game and will give it out for free (or best offer) to his friends or anyone who asks him for a copy. There aren't really any more details.
