I was born, raised and educated in "The Land of Opportunity", which I promptly left for a better opportunity.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

For either North or South Dakota:
The Wagon Broke, So We Stayed Here.
And don't forget East Carolina: The Forgotten State
(The Stanford Band did a tribute to "The Forgotten State" in some bowl game against East Carolina University.)

And as for northwoods Hurley-girley residents, they rarely come in "little" sizes! These are corn fed, milk bred, pound for pound, the biggest around northwoods Norwegians!
The state motto really is "Forward".

Well, Northwest Girls wear warm wool clothes and like to go outside and stuff. Digging clams is a priority and, occasionally, they went to Alaska and worked on a fishboat or in a cannery during summers in college. When presented with something really grotty looking that was pulled up from the depths of Puget Sound or Hood Canal, they say, "That looks good. Let's cook it and eat it!" That's the Wetside Girls. Girls on the Dryside wear a bikini top, cutoff Levis and no shoes (or flipflops) from May through September and like to shoot at rattlesnakes with .44 Magnum pistols. They fish for trout and like to drink really cold beer. However, after about October, they wear snowmobile suits, ride snow machines all day and love to cook the game their old men and killed and drug home.BigDale wrote:I am partial to my SE WI girls--that is sort of why I came to WI, especially those little southside Polish and Hispanic girls from Milwaukee!

You should get The Beach Boys to sing that! (or maybe Sleater-Kinney channeling The Beach Boys.)The Big Ben wrote: Well, Northwest Girls wear warm wool clothes and like to go outside and stuff.
