Yup. But the 'calling card' of the Marzan designed tubas is the main tuning slide on top. The copper horn is built in a conventional manner. I guess I should have stated that "It seems odd to me that the copper Sander tuba didn't have the main slide on top".

My band director bought a bbflat Sanders for me to use in high school in 1980, It was a nice sounding and comfortable easy playing horn. My son is a freshmen this year and I went to his band concert last night he is playing my old tuba, a few more years and a lot more dents than when I put it away 34 years ago it still sounds nice.

This is a Sanders Imperial. It is Chinese and is not as good as the B&S VMI 101, but it actually played quite well once I cleaned and oiled the rotors. The third and fourth had green calcium on them that was causing them to stick. It also has the mini-ball linkages, which is a big plus.

In college, I used a PT-3 that was doubly engraved as B&S and Sanders. Nice tuba!
