And why (the butchering of this song and innumerable others to fit a "three-minute" time slot), among other reasons (bandwidth, etc.) I gave up AM decades ago, especially after working DJ for a local AM station in high school, except for occasional news or a ballgame not broadcast otherwise. Now all the ballgames I am interested in have an alternate broadcast outlet, and let's not engage in the "news" discussion, for it will devolve into a political discussion, so the AM setting on my bathroom radio, the only one I have left after all these decades, gets no play. Even at that, my small portable bathroom radio is set permanently to the local PBS FM station.
